Rutin is a plant pigment, also known as a bioflavonoid. The primary sources of rutin for medical use are buckwheat, Japanese pagoda tree, and eucalyptus macrorhyncha. It can also be found in vegetables and fruits such as apples, figs and citrus fruits but is also present in black and green tea. Rutin contains potent antioxidants and contributes to the production of collagen and helps your body use vitamin C.
